I have a mole on my back (top left shoulder).

It was never raised and now it's raised and hard / crusty, it looked as if it could or had been bleeding and it's been itchy.

I sent a photo as best as i could take of it and my doctor said i that it's not cancerous. Can they really tell from a photo?

Still a very concerned person!!

Yea think I would get another opinion .. it seems strange they could say that about a mole that is changing without actually seeing it ... esp if you feel it's not right ... it can't hurt ... Chrissie

Trust your instinct.

I don't mean to worry you but my dad was told his breathlessness wasn't cancer after he had an ultrasound and CT scan and blood results.

A week later a biopsy confirms cancer.

im just trying to say, doctors do sometimes get it wrong. Be persistent. Unfortunately it's the only way to be heard sometimes.
