 Plenty of people post here that belong to small % that like to prove predictions are just words but no story,and l am sure they will be along shortly,

Look out for the legend that is BillyGoat, if its positivity you want,he delivers that in spades,but he has plenty of competition as you will discover

Thanks for your response ️ I look forward to reading Mr BillyGoats posts and passing on stories of positivity to my Mr! We're throwing everything we can at this to try and defy the odds, so crazy how your life can change in a 5-min conversation with a Doctor isn't it!

Hi jswife. 

Just looking through strings, it's like a morning routine now, seeing if to answer any, while better half is asleep. 

I've prostate Cancer gone to lymph nodes, spine, ribs, pelvis and a lung, i was diagnosed Feb 2016 been on palliative care since cancer classed as stage 4.

Next year is 50 years we've been married i had to promise my darling wife I'd look after her when she got old (she's nearly 14 years older than me) before she'd marry me. She has Alzheimers and parkinsons plus other problems but I'm sticking to my promise no matter what, the cancer can do what it wants I'm staying till I'm no longer neaded..

I've had chemo and living on hormone therapy just been changed to something stronger. 

But i don't care I'm keeping positive and fighting on, cancer wants you to just lay down and give in. Not me I'm fighting.

I do all the housework, cooking shopping, only help we have carers come to help wash Mrs it's a job to hold her up and wash at the same time, she can't stand without being held up. 

Remember POSITIVE thinking and actions really help.

P.s oncologist told me I'd need more chemo before first year was up, next February is five years and still not neaded it. 

He also gave me five years survival wrong again.

Wow!!! You are that proper 'old-school' gem of a husband, fighting in to look after your wife, I totally salute you!  It's so good to hear about people like you who are fighting the beast! We have the opposite age gap, hubby is 61 and I'm 48, he was also diagnosed with Prostate 2 years ago but we thought that was going well as he had the Brachytherapy and first PSA results were good, but now they're not bothered about that as the Dr said it's irrelevant now he has it in lung and surrounding areas. I did think at the time 'ooo that's interesting language to use to a patient'', but I guess there is no way of sugar-coating this stuff is there!

He's having chemo now and they said they'd try Immunatherapy next, so can't knock the NHS, they're giving it a go. I've changed his diet to Alkaline based, lots of fish, minimal sugar....poor bloke probably thinks let me die I want a steak!!!!! 
 

We're also approaching it with as much humour as we can, we've always bantered so trying to keep that going, I'm sure people around us wonder what's going on when I threaten him with a cardboard coffin if he doesn't behave....it's just a joke and it helps us lighten the awfulness! 
 

I may seem flippant but I'm not, at night I have to recharge and that's when I do all the reading so I'm prepared for what 'might' happen, but for now it's back to positive polly and making sure he feels he can fight it.

Hi Jw. 

I'll try not to miss anything. I'll put what to keep clear of. 

Citrus fruit, most cheese have bacteria, yougart the bio sort bacteria again. That's the main ones. Alot of foods will taste like cardboard really strong taste not to bad (curry, ginger biscuits) string drinks like ginger ale..are good. 

I'll keep thinking about it but chemo brain and over four years ago I'm struggling a bit.
