I had a result today that my doctor said was >6000 (wish I would upload a pic for someone to decipher as I asked the doc to forward on the notes / numbers etc) 

I've been referred for an urgent appointment with gastro within 2 weeks.

I am in so much pain at the minute it hurts walking around and when I eat. I had a major change change in bowel habits with a lot of mucus, and sometimes passing just bloody mucus ans no stool. 

I am also exhausted! 

I know there's a chance this is one of the bowel diseases but more worried this could be bowel cancer, all my bloods seem to come back normal but with my calprotectin being so ridiculously high and the amount of pain I'm in, I'm definitely worried! 

Your symptoms are the same as mine, have you been seen yet ? I was referred 3 weeks ago on the urgent 2 week referral but unfortunately we have a lack of gastro drs in my area so now have a telephone consultation booked

Yes I've been seen now, i has my colonoscopy within 10 days of my referral and they could see ulceration and inflammation.

biopsies have been taken and I was referred for further scans (MRI/CT). However, getting the results seen to be taking forever.

I was told I should have an appointment for a scan within a week and it's now nearly a Month later and I still don't have an appointment despite chasing. And biopsies are supposed to be back within 2 weeks, I still don't have these results. 
 

I just want things sorted now.

Hi Becky did you ever get your results? I've exact same as you my Calprotein is 3077 my doc says not to worry she dosent think it's bowel cancer it's more likely ibd but the panic and worry dosent stop, 

I have bloody mucus loads recently and for 3 weeks it is becoming a bit more less the last couple of days but now I seem to feel like I need to go the toilet all the time and have a lot of pressure and some niggly stomach pains with constant left side back pain, I can't help but worry 

I'm on 2ww for camera but so scared

Mine has come back as 2100 and I’m absolutely panicking - dr has done a 2 week fast track to the hospital - referral has suggested colon cancer. I’m absolutely gutted. Please can anyone shed some light on these results for me. Anyone experienced this ? Sorry. I’m a little over the place atm. Thank you

mine was 3300 with suspected IBD I’m 22 just waiting for colonoscopy do u have any symptoms?

I have itching bleeding urgency abdominal discomfort before dedicating some diahreah but mostly formed bright brown stools not dark. Also mucus blood usually is in the toilet bowl and on paper sometimes coats stool 

i have bled on and off for 7 years with suspected piles the rest of my symptoms appeared last November after getting out of an abusive relationship how r u doing tho? Here if u need anything

I’ve been mostly (all my life) constipated. After reading lots online (I know you shouldn’t) I went onto an anti inflammatory diet and today I’ve had a soft stool & although dark brown I couldn’t see any blood. Mucus. But no blood (to the naked eye) worry is causing me to stress and I’m getting a lot of tummy aches. No bloating - I do have a feeling in my anus that there’s something there. Can’t really explain it. 
I had suspected Norovirus in Nov 2024 - was ill until mid Jan. 

then started with tummy pains. I’ve dropped to 8 1/2 stone on the scales. Another 1lb loss from yesterday (but that could be the change in diet?) 

couldn’t sleep last night. Any other pains are frightening me. I’m genuinely so worried. :(
