Lieomyosarcoma - tips for living with cancer please

Hi

I am new to forums. I was diagnosed with lieomyosarcoma  4 years ago, and had one of my adreanl glands removed. That was normal but they found the tumour on my Inferior Vena Cava. It is incurable and has now spread to my liver and back, most of the time I can be positive but it is waiting for the scan results and the feeling of dread. .I will be having chemotherapy permenantley  and liver ablations until they no longer works. Does any one have some simple coping strategies? I have a good support system with my family but sometimes outsdie support helps much better.

  • Hi Billy

    How are you both?

We are now trying ot work out how to get our shopping as advice is now Chris needs to stay at home as well as me. Waiting to get my letter to tell me what to do, and feeling very worried as we are not paying attention to the rest of the world who are further on than us.

How are up managing with your shoppping? Are you getting everything you need? Will you get some extra help now as technically you should now be at home for the next twleve weeks? They really haven't thought this thorough very well have they? We can't get a delivery at all now.

Spent a long time in the garden over the weekend and got a lot done, now I just need to do a bit more pruning, and get some seeds in. The sun is glorious but there is a cold wind and we had a severe frsot lst night to.

Billy please take care and shout for help.

    Love Lyn xx

  • Hi Billy

How are you both doing? Has your Council or Charities not set up anything to help the vulnerable like you to get shopping? They were saying on the news that perhaps people should be ringing their G.Ps or Council to see if they know what help is available. I do worry about the pair of you.

We still have glorious sunshine so trying to get out in the garden and Chris is ploughing on with the decorating and did manage to get to the allotment and put the onions and shallots in. Glad that is done given the weather forecast for the weekend. We have Blue-*** nesting in our boxes and am chuffed to bits, babies again this year.

I am rambling so will say cheerio.

Please take care and stay safe.

    Love

    Lyn xx

  • Hi cabbages hope you've got some of those in the garden as well.,

Government reckon to be sending messages to people who need things sorted but haven't heard anything yet

Were both managing OK at the mo so just plodding on as normal.

A couple of neighbours have asked if we kneed anything to call them.which is nice.

Be lovely when the young ones start out.

Keep positive and keep smiling.. Love Billy xxx
