My husband has been diagnosed with an aggressive stage 4 cancer. Primary is small cell lung cancer but it's also in his bone, liver, adrenal glands and lymph nodes. This has been a massive shock and has been all very quick. He is receiving palliative chemo and radiotherapy. He is only young in his 40's. He is no longer working and has sorted his benefits out. I work but have been advised to take sick leave by Macmillan. At present he has been admitted to hospital a week before chemo 1 & 2 for emergencies. And then of course the chemo it's self has a massive impact on him for a minimum of a week after. Then the rest of the month he is "normal". Well as normal he will feel. So I encourage him to do everything he can manage himself.
How do you all keep yourself busy at home? I'm not a home bird. I have hobbies outdoors and go to work usually to keep busy. I'm currently still sat in my pj's watching daytime telly. Can't stand daytime telly!
