Hi, I am hoping someone is able to help as I'm feeling a little confused!

I went to see my GP yesterday after finding a lump in my right breast. She told me she would refer me under the two week wait rule which I wasn't worried to much about as she said this was standard practice with breast lumps. 
This morning I received a text message to tell me of my appointment but it says it is a general surgery appt and no further info than that. Just feeling a little worried as I thought I would just be going for an ultrasound or mammogram. Is this normal to go straight to what I'm only assuming will be a biopsy?
