Solid lump under armpit

Hi,

I had a referral to the breast clinic on Monday and felt a little put out. I have a solid lump under my armpit (closer to the breast) and when the consultant examined me he felt a thickening in a different place ( never asked me to show him where I felt the lump)

I was sent for a mammogram and ultra sound and it came back as glandular tissue, It wasn't until I got home and noticed where he had drawn on my breast the location of the lump he felt it wasn't where I felt it.
Would glandular tissue be solid and ache?
any advice would be greatly received ️

  • I'm so sorry to hear that it must be awful, you must think people like me are going mad!
I don't mean to sound disrespectful to anyone who has or is going through BC just this is all so very strange for me to suddenly have these things going wrong I mean I haven't been sick for ages so don't know why all these little lumps are in the tissue around my armpit and the marble in top of breast I've know idea,, but will be going to open surgery tomorrow morning so will be sure to update on here.

agsin so sorry for what you've been through xx

  • It wasn't my intention to belittle your fears, they are real and you're scared. I have been through the mill and have lost count of the amount of tests I've been through so know when to worry and when not to. I have failth in the professionals as they see hundreds if not thousands of patients. As I said, I would go back to the GP and ask their opinion, perhaps you need a referral to the breast clinic in order to obtain a sepecialist's opinion. However, if the GP does not think it cancer she may not refer you or may refer but you'll have a longer wait as you wont be on the 2 week pathway.

  • Hi Magpiemaggie,

im sorry you have been through the mill

just discussing my experience on here has brought my mind to rest.

Thank you for your input. xx
