recovery from cancer of tongue base

I finished chemoradiation on Aug 23 2019 after 7 weeks of radiation and 3 sessions of Carboplatin.

My throat is still quite sore and saliva thick, but the worst thing is fatigue...simply knackered most of

the time.

I'd love to hear from others who have gone through the treatment to see how they are doing or have done...

Thanks

David

  • Welcome to Cancer Chat David although I'm sorry about the side effects you're currently contending with.

Hopefully they'll start to improve with time but as I know you're wanting to chat with others who have been in a similar position I thought I would put you in touch with one of our lovely tongue cancer regulars [@RadioactiveRaz]‍. She is a year or so down the line but I'm sure she would be more than willing to help you if she can so fingers crossed she'll be along when she can to share her advice and experiences with you as you embark on your recovery.

    All the best,
