I’d say the wait depends on where you live maybe. 

My lump doesn’t hurt either. I don’t know if it moves. It’s hard to tell. I have another 11 days until the breast clinic. So that’s 2 weeks after I first saw my GP.

im actually not worrying right now. I think im all worried out. I can’t control what this is, it is whatever it is and I just need to find that out. I went to the GP as soon as I found it so I did what I could. 

I know the worrying part will be receiving the biopsy results. It’s the thoughts of that that make me want to get sick. 

Thanks :-) Just getting nervous and on edge for my appointment tomorrow. My sister had Ovarian cancer about 4 years ago when she was only 39 years old, I'm pleased to say that the cancer has hopefully gone for good. They took her ovaries, womb and cervix. She would of loved to have a baby but that chance has gone :-(. Apparently because Tracy had Ovarian cancer, it puts myself and our mum at a higher risk of getting breast cancer . X

So my breast clinic appointment is a week away. I went to the dr again today about something else and got her to see if she could tell me what it was. So she said it doesn’t feel like a cyst or a fibroadenoma. That it’s not smooth and it’s about 3cm x 2 cm. So I’m basically preparing for the worst news next week. 

I know it’s difficult I really do but try not to over think just take one day at a time if possible or it’ll drive you nomad.

i know where coming from though as I’ve just rung bell as finished all major treatment after nearly 8 months , so keep strong if poss xx

Hi Flynn. Please don't worry too much. I was absolutely petrified for 18 very long days. The nurse at our doctors surgery sent me to our local hospital breast clinic, and it turned out to be a cyst. The doctor I saw at the hospital said that the cyst isn't even in the right part of my armpit for cancer. Why did the nurse send me. Surely she should of known that it wasn't a problem. What I'm trying to say is, Doctor's and nurses at our local surgeries are GP's ( General Practitioners) and don't specialize in any one illness. I was so worried and it was nothing. Let's hope your doctor has got it wrong as well. I appreciate that my nurse aired on the side of caution, but I was worried sick over nothing. All the best, and I hope that you are one of the 9 out of ten that gets sent to the breast clinic and doesn't have cancer X

Hope you dont mind me jumping in too i got my appointment Thursday my lump is a good inch xinch and half oval starts just on top of my right nipple real hard non movable not painful and easy to feel i dont even have to raise my arm to feel it never normally a worrier but my head is shot over this its like i know already the outcome its going to be a long 2 days only waited a week for the appointment so after reading some people waiting a long time starts alarm bells x

I was supposed to go and see the breast clinic specialist within two weeks and it would of only been a week as well, but our local clinic was fully booked, so they had to have a Saturday appointment, which is when I went (18 days after seeing nurse ). Don't worry about how quickly you will be seen. My nurse said that it is supposed to be a national time scale. Everyone should be seen within two weeks. You and I were just lucky. Mine was only a cyst thank god, I really hope yours is too. Good luck X

I found a large lump in a similar area to you some years ago now. I went to the doctor's and he told me that was also a cyst. He said that normally when a lady finds a large lump it's a cyst. Apparently they are more concerned about small lumps, the size of a peas. X

Im optimistic one minute, in acceptance that it could something another, then scared at other times. It’s actually hard to get your head around.

The dr today felt another small lump that she said feels like a cyst. I can’t feel it. 

I just need this next week to go quickly.
