Hi.

I’m so glad you go through it so well.
its not usually the stories you hear!
i have long blonde hair. I can’t imagine having none. It’s just stuff I know, but it’s part of me. I like to wear feminine clothes. I can’t imagine losing a breast. It’s a lot to process. And impossible to not think about even without knowing.
Try not to worry about the hair it grows back pretty quickly and sometimes curly if originally straight or straight if curly .
You can still be very feminine and you’d be surprised how funky being bald can be !
i have a lovely selection of hats but haven’t worn many it’s been to warm.
Hair wise it’s not just hair on head it’s usually ALL hair, I’ve just about hung on to eyelashes
As for losing a breast, you don’t always it could be a lumpectomy instead.
i went into surgery with 2 breasts and came out with two but one was made from big muscle in my back
It’s so much to take in.
Thats great you didn’t have to wait for reconstruction.
Im just praying its nothing.
Ill get nervous next week about it. It’s hard to make your brain stop whirring.
ill let you know how it goes. I imagine it’ll be Tuesday as that’s they’re next available appointment, they’re just waiting on the letter from my dr
It may well be nothing, but if it’s not there’s a huge amount that can be done, dependent on how advanced it is.
whats your name anyway ? Mines Amanda .
My brother was diagnosed with Prostate at same time as me and he’s now clear and I’m going back to work p time next month.
if you want email address to talk to me you can do
xxx
It’s Emma :)
That’s brilliant you’re going back to work. I’m a full time Mum so I worry about the logistics of that too.
Yes I can email you how it goes
Hi Emma ,
Hiw olds are the children ?
IF and only IF, it turns out to be cancer you would need help. The amount of help depends of course on what treatment you have .
One in college and then a 10 and 7 year old,
i have people around me. It’s just daunting
It’s more than daunting it’s completely life changing but there’s a huge amount of help, advice you can access, I wish. Could reassure you but I can’t I’m afraid .
What way did you find it completely life changing?
