Me & my partner have been trying for a baby for 6 months. I recently found out that I have abnormal cells in my cervix after having my first smear test. Could this be why I haven’t been able to conceive

Welcome to the forum Allie although I'm sorry for the reason you're posting.
Unfortunately I can't answer this question but our cancer nurses are very knowledgeable about screening results so do give them a call on 0808 800 4040 if you'd like to chat with them about this. They're available Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m.
Do make sure you speak with your doctor as well as having access to your medical records, they will ultimately be in the best position to advise you on this.
I hope you're able to get some answers soon Allie.

Hi Allie
I had abnormal cells for as long as i can remember after every smear test and i am now in my fifties with two grown up sons, so abnormal cells does not necessarily mean that may be the reason why. I hope that you get it sorted out real soon.
