I am currently having treatment for small cell bladder cancer which has spread to the lymph glands and pelvic bones. The chemo is treating me kindly with few side effects and I am half way through 6 cycles. This is a life limiting illness with indeterminate longevity, depending where the little devil invades next.
As this is an incredibly rare and almost unknown cancer form, I can only find a few scientific reports online and would welcome some more human experiences good or bad, to make me feel I am not the only one out there!
On a more positive note, at a meeting of older people yesterday (I am 68) on our table of 8, 6 had come through at least one cancer and many were years after diagnosis, so a really positive message out there.
