Invitation to a new trial

I have been invited to take part in a new drug trial for her2+ breast cancer, new tests called CEP17 and TOP2A to refine the selection of chemo drugs to treats breast cancer before surgery

has anyone been through this trial?

Has anyone on here had or having treatment for the same breast cancer?

Did anyone get a second opinion after their diagnosis?

Hello,
im her2+ .......as my lump was pretty small I had surgery first then chemo now on rads..... I didn't go for a second opinion.....
im going to look up the trial....sounds interesting....how you feeling about it all? Xxx

I’m in total shock tbh, the many tests scans and hospital visits have been overwhelming. Mine has travelled to a gland too.
I had a totally clear thermal image scan 6 months ago, hence the shock.
I’m having 6m chemo then surgery, possibly radiotherapy and will have herceptin

I know......I had a clear mammogram the year before.....it completely floored me...

im on herceptin every 3 weeks by injection.....also got to take hormone inhibitors.....your feet don't touch the ground do they?? We will get there love....eventually! Xxx

Thanks for the encouraging words Marlyn that really helps.
think I’ll have to have bisphosphonates too because of possible bone damage from chemo and something else I can’t remember now
one day we’ll look back on this time and hopefully smile
