Breast screening recall

Hi Everyonr,

this is my first time posting here, just wanted some advice/reassurance really!

i had  routine mammogram last Sunday and this morning got a letter to go for further tests on Thursday, my first concern is how quickly I have received letter as I was told on the day would be 2-4 weeks.

i have had surgery on right breast before for intraductal pappilomas and I currently have black/bloody discharge from one breast but no lumps that I’m aware of.

i am feeling very anxious and just want Thursday to come quickly as just want it over and done with.

i am 51 and my maternal grandmother died of breast cancer at 52 and I have lost 2 maternal aunts to breast cancer too

    Hello,

    although I know it's worrying there could be  a number of reasons for your recall.....it could well be another papilloma issues.......just try and think.....it's not something until it is something....

    Thursday will be here before you know it, if there's a lump they may well want to do a biopsy....

    its interesting you say about the family history....have you been gene tested? My mum also had breast cancer when she was my age (53) and even though I also had/have it they weren't interested in gene testing me......

    Many thanks for replying, you are 100% correct, Thursday will be here in no time. I’m sure it’s nothing just the speed of it all concerned me.

    i haven’t been offered any gene resting x
