Should I cancel 2ww referral?

Hi so 2 weeks ago I was put on the 2ww referral appointment is next week  For abnormal bleeding and intermittent pelvis pain. I started bleeding 1st April and was fresh blood every day  Now come a few days before my appointment it's now become more brown and almost stopped. Worried now they'll think I wasnt an urgent referral and I'm now wasting there time. I had abnormal smear in 2003 but was going through a lot and ended up discharging myself then had 2 normal smears then an inadequate then a normal smear only a year ago. I am meant to have them yearly but missed a few from being pregnant and general anxiety and embarrassment. (Yes silly and kick myself for it now I'm older) just feel like I'm now going to be looked down on and inconveniencing them :(

    Thankyou for replying. I've been worrying myself silly. I've always thought It would never happen to me. So it comes as a shock that I'm even being tested. I will keep my appointment for Wednesday and see what they say. Just hope they're nice.

    I agree that you should still go.  The majority of referrals turn out to be nothing serious and the Doctors are completely used to this being the case, so please don't worry about this, you're not wasting anyone's time. although as a fellow anxious person I totally get your hesitation! 

    Definately better safe than sorry and it will help your own piece of mind, so that you're not worrying about it in the future.

    Thank you. Will let you know how it goes. I don't even know is even going to happen at appointment as they gave no details on letter and nothing on hospital website other than consultation and examination.

    Just an update had my appointment with gynaecology ( I walked in and she acted like she didnt even want to see me)  They didnt find anything and couldn't complete pipelle biopsy and said to return in 4 months time did an ultrasound all looked normal  But said about a hystoscopy when I go back. Then my dr sent me for ultrasound separately which I went to as I asked if I should cancel and they were unsure and was told to keep it. They found a cyst in my left ovary one day after dr couldn't see anything. So will wait and see what they say now

    Thanks for the update, I was wondering how you got on. Glad you went to your appointment.  Sorry that the gynae had a poor bedside manner, so far I've found the medical profession seem to either be incredibly lovely or very matter of fact!
