I would hope it's nothing too bad because that seems a long time to be waiting...

If it were me I'd pester and explain how the worry is affecting you. They might be able to help more, and it's always worth asking. If you don't tell them how awful you're finding the worry they won't have the chance to understand.

Perhaps asking the question "Do you think it is reasonable to ask me to wait until the 29th to know what's wrong?" and "Are you sure it is ok for it to wait that long?"  They will then have to justify it. Their answer might go some way to reassuring you. And asking for things in writing can sometimes do the trick.

But at the end of the day they all really do want to help. I have found it useful just to remind them I'm here sometimes.
