Just introducing myself. I've returned from breast unit at the hospital today...I went with what was probably a cyst...I get them regularly being 45, and they just get rid of them. The did my mammogram...yes a cyst...yet deeper beneath it was a something else. So, then they gave me tomosynthesis screening. The consultant radiographer sat me down for a chat and showed me the image. She was very concerned about this lump she said and said there's also calcification, and she needed to take some of that and x-ray right away (I'm sure she said x-ray, but by then I don't know if I was taking it all in). She came back with a little slide with stuff on. She also did an ultrasound, which only brought her more concern. She took a biopsy. I said maybe this could be another fibroademo and you just book me to have it out. This is not a fibroadenoma, I'm.so sorry, she said, but we are here to help you no matter what.
So, here I am...wondering what all this means. Waiting until 16 April for next appt. I'm concerned for interruptions to my own clients and patients, concern for my dad and his wife who lost my brother this new year, and concerned for my darling little pet rats who need me, and fory family and friends who are already upset...
