Hello everyone, my name is Nica and my Husband had Bowel Cancer in 2011, had 28" removed, followed by 6 straight months of Chemo. He had an Ileostomy bag and never moaned once, he is great and such a positive person, which everyone says is good!
Last year about this time he had a double herniated bowel and 999 just made it as it was strangling his bowel he had left.I then got scared as he was told to go and have a C.T.as a 6monthly check. He had C.T. Scans on SEPTEMBER 21st & was told they saw new findings in his liver and his lungs.....and after many, many telephone phonemcalls to many Secretary they said that they would put this in a letter. We received a letter Christmas Eve telling us that he was due for a new CT Scan after 6 months, after his September 21st firstone since moving to SUffolk.
Now today he has been offered one in March. I know this may be the usual thing to do, but he has asbestos in his lung, but this was o.k. aslong as it did not move from his pleural plaques? I am so scared he has lost alot of weight and I am asking ...is it worth him having it done privately to vgeta quicker diagnosis of his NEW FINDINGS? Anyone who has had this I would appreciate so much how to cope with all THIS WAITING? He is 66 and all I have got in the World. We have been married for44 years and could have no children, but a loving rescue dog who hasbeen his Saviour! I lovethem both. He used to have COPD,all fitternow because of the 5mile walks he has been doing 3- 4 times a week! Bless em both! Thanks for reading this. I have not been on here before. Nica Username Curly1952. x
