Welcome to the forum although I am so sorry you find yourself here at the same time.
This cancer business is truly awful....so unfair and devastating. I have some experience of loss through cancer myself - my Mum (I know it is different when it’s a partner....how difficult that must be).
As Unicorn says, you certainly aren’t alone in this. If you view the other message threads, you will see that, unfortunately, there are many people who are also going through the same loss as you. I think it helps to be around people who are in the know about cancer and loss and so I hope you can stick around. I’m sure you’ll find it supportive.
I do know of some people who have found it helpful to visit their GP when they’ve found things really difficult and that their GP has managed to assist them to feel better/take the edge off, particularly in the initial stages of grief. Also, you may have already heard about Cruse bereavement services. They support people who are going through loss and have a helpline and local support service too: www.cruse.org.uk/get-help
It is quite possible to get through this and come out the other end....but I completely understand that it may not feel like this to you now, what with your loss being so recent.
