Hi I had my lumpectomy for BC on the 3rd Jan still waiting to hear back. Will it be long? Also imagining every ache and the irritating cough I can't get rid of are all bad signs is this normal?
Hello, yes, I had mine on same day, got a letter yesterday telling me I have appointment for the 16 th so see what treatment plan is, I am sure you will get to hear soon.....how are you? Have you taken the dressing off yet? Xx
When I had my lumpectomy I had to wait two weeks after for results. If you haven’t heard by end of week maybe phone and as if an appointment has been made for you. Please let us know how you get on x
I am glad to hear that you have had your lumpectomy. We all tend to think the worst at times like this. It is still early days for pain to have subsided completely and you will probably be aware of aches and pains in your breast for quite some time yet.
I have had a lumpectomy and a double mastectomy and, had to wait 2 weeks for the pathology results on both occasions.This can vary a little from area to area throughout the country.
Mention your cough to your surgeon next time you see him/her, but I doubt that they will be too concerned. It may even be more to do with your general anaesthetic and, should go with time.

I had an irritating cough for days after my surgery and it was caused by the breathing tube etc. My throat was sore too. The first few days are tough as the anaesthetic is still in your system. I hope you get your results soon, take it easy and spoil yourself! We are all here for you. X
