Hi All,
This is my first post so bare with me :)
My dad has been diagnosed with esophogeal adenocarcinoma with metastises in a lymph in his stomach and possibly two near his neck area...
He has has an edoscopy, CT and PET scan so far but we are still waiting for any sort of staging/ prognosis/ treatment plan due to the nodes in his neck. The nodes in hes neck showed 'warm' on the PET so there maybe some more investigation needed. The wait seems intolerable at the moment
He has lost significant amounts of weight (he is so thin at the moment, im more concerned that this will kill him before the cancer does), cannot eat solids at all and its bringing up bile frequently. its all very distressing at the moment as we don't know the full extent of what is happening. Has anyone experienced this? Is there anything we can do to help him?
Adding to the frustration we were due to hear off his consultant yesterday (4.12.18) but after waiting all day we were told that because my dads last name is a W "they run out of time" and didn't discuss his case so we now have to wait another week for any more information >:)
If anyone can just give me some advice or tell me of similar stories I'd be grateful.
Kate
