Where do we start

Hi all

This is all very new to me, and I cant believe that I am sitting down typing away, but not sure what else I can do.

Dad was diagonosed with Stage 4 esophageal cancer back in March.  Things have taken a very drematic turn for the worse over the last six weeks.  Dad lives in Cyprus, so dont know if I need to drop everthing and fly out, and offer my support.

Does anyone know what lies ahead in the coming weeks?

    Hi Macker,

    So sorry to read about your Dad. What does he suggest you should do? If he has other family or friends with him you could ask them too.

    You will probably feel better if you fly out, but you are bound to have other commitments, especially if you have a family of your own. Never an easy choice.

    Thanks for your reply, I was over in Cyprus in September and dad was clear in that I had my own life back in the UK, so was happy for me to go home.  However, as things have changed I am thinkin I need to head out again, as dad was also the main carer for mum, as she has low level dementia. 

    My brother is out in Cyprus at the min, but its a full time job looking after both paretns at the same time.

    My head is a mess, not knowing what to do for the best.
