Umbrella - has anyone else had vaginal cancer?

In feb'14 i was told i had vaginal cancer. I started with 27 radio therapy and 6 chemo with surgery 6 weeks later. I had my bladder removed  and vagina cut away sticking it together. It was an awful experience with so much pain but i was so glad for the cancer to be away. Thankgod im cancer free however i suffer everyday with nerve damage/ scar tissue. I've never been able to meet someone with the same experience.

  • I've had quite a few ops for angiomyxoma and have just recently seen the consultant who found a lesion in my vaginal passage with had been bleeding and was and still is tender. He told me that I would be examined under anaesthetic in hospital and would be taking biopsies., the ops that I had before were all benign so keeping my fingers crossed that this is treatable. I also have nerve damage from all the cutaways that I had, eleven ops in all, but some ops were just for checkup thank goodness.

  • Hi,, I’m from California and had radical hysterectomy 2/2/18 staged 3b grade 1 cancer. Then 26 radiation treatments. I have radiation cystitis and I’ve been told I may need to have my bladder removed due to incontenence basically my bladder doesn’t work. I’m terrified. Will you tell me a little about your procedure  &your current quality of life? I haven’t talked to anybody who has had this treatment. I certainly hope you are doing well. Any insight would be helpful. Thank you in advance.  Best wishes to you !!
