Intro

Hello everyone

I was diagnosed with lung cancer in February last year.  I had surgery in April 2017, and three courses of Chemo during June and July 2017.  My last CT scan in November showed no evidence of disease.  I'm waiting for an appointment for a second CT scan and feeling nervous.  Looking to connect with other cancer folks, and to listen and learn.  Meli.

  • Hi Meli.... I'm a breast cancer lady but wanted to stop by to say hi and how glad I am that treatments showed that your lungs were clear in November. It's always nerve wracking waiting for more tests and I will keep my fingers crossed your next scan comes back clear also.

There are a few other lung cancer members on here. If you go to the blue banner search engine and put in lung cancer it should help you locate all the previous threads if people with a similar diagnosis as your own.

    Good luck

  • Thanks so much Cornishpastie, for your kind words, and for letting me know there are others on this list also with lung cancer.  And some I see with very recent surgery.  I will definitely make contact in the next few days.  This is a great forum, and so good to be amongst others who know how this feels.:)

  • Hiya

There are some amazing people on here who lift you up when down and also help you focus on the moment. All tge very best to you x

  • Hi Meli,

I can see cornishpastie has given you a lovely welcome and you've made a few posts on the forum already but I just wanted to put in touch with a few recent members that specifically have experience of lung cancer in case you wanted to connect with them.

[@RONNIE]‍, [@Minnie62]‍ and [@Shelly1]‍ are just a few of our members who have signed up within the last few months and hopefully they'll pop by when they can to say hello and chat. You may also be able to help them as some are at the start of their journeys so your experience and advice could be invaluable.

    Kind regards,

    Steph, Cancer Chat Moderator
