I'm very sorry to hear of your friend's situation.

We aren't doctors so we're limited in what we can say.

I think that the question your friend's medical team would want to know is whether the pancreatic cancer is a new primary tumour, or whether it is a spread from the breast cancer.  Until that is known then I don't think anyone can answer your question.

How good to see someone wanting to support a friend instead of running in the opposite direction – Good on you!

I just wanted to add to what Telemando has said, to let you know that your friend will be having tests which should eventually be able to indicate whether this new cancer is another primary or is in fact a secondary. These tests will also indicate what stage her cancer is. Your friend will be the first person to be told the results after her care team.

I hope that the results are as good as they can be. Please let us know how she progresses. Remember that we are always here for both of you, as she travels her cancer journey.
