Hi, I'm sandra.Age 54. Diagnosed 2 years, 3 months ago. I have melanoma stage 4b. I've had my thumb amputated( first diagnosed there). I've had my lymph nodes( all) and axillary removal(armpit). Then I had the top of my right lung removed. In between I've had MRSA twice, cancer treatment caused hepatitis grade 4. Latest is I had sepsis 6 weeks ago.I now have 11 tumours. What I'd like to say is...I never gave up...I always told myself I wasn't going to die of cancer...I've fought and laughed and joked my way through this. ( I've had all the treatment,..immunosuppressant treatment, radiotherapy, antibiotics, chemo tablets, massive steroid doses, 3 major surgeries, at one point I was taking 47 tablets a day). Now I'm on a new chemotherapy. ( decarbazine)
And there's been a reaction ...all the tumours I can see are shrinking....massively. They are all at least a third of the size they were, and I've only had 2 rounds. So there you have it. I was told I had 6 months to live in January. So don't give up....never give up.
