You too have a good Easter.

I was lucky enough to retire some time ago - I'm 63 now. The problem I have is that for the last three years I have have had the ideal part time job. Cancer has made me reassess how I want to spend my time - whether it be two years or thirty two years, The scan results may focus my attention further.

Hi Vatch... How are you doing? I'm going ok... Got eight sessions to go off radio and one chemo.... Losing weight  now because eating is very difficult... All the things you said would happen have... Lol.. But I'm ok I don't feel too unwell in myself... Just hungry! Talk to Lynne most days if I can she is holding her own too but nausea has been bad for her.... Do you know how John is doing? Paula..xxx

7 radiotherapy treatments to go, nausea has been bad , spent Friday Thursday and Friday being sick . Eating and drinking becoming a task and the phlegm is terrible! I’m choked with the stuff, constantly gagging on it and it’s keeping me up most of the night too. I have a feeling the doctor is going to want to put in a feeding tube this week , weight is falling off me . Pain wise I’m okay , managed without pain meds since Wednesday, it’s more the phlegm that’s causing me all the trouble right now .xx

if you have got this far without a feeding tube then hats off to you

i had mine fitted before treatment and although I hated the thing it kept me alive

as your hospital for a portable nebuliser machine and use it first thing in the morning and last thing at night ... it does help breaking the phlegm

good to hear that the treatment is what it is and things are ok ... I know it’s not easy but if you are coping with it ... that’s a good sign.

How long after treatment is done will it take to be able to eat a fairly normal diet again? I miss food!
