Hi Liz, sorry to read your post. I had endometrial cancer a year ago. My hot flushes started exactly a week after the op and continue. It is a shocking situation for you and your family. How are you feeling now!

I AM exactly the same had malignant melanoma in my womb which is exceedingly rare had a radical hysterectomy and 19 lymph nodes removed still have pain now, had op April 2016. Can't sleep cause of flushes and generally feeling bleurgh... hope you feel better soon. Michelle

Hi Angie sorry to bother you I had a radical hysterectomy with ovaries.felloypian Tubes and cervix removed 12 days ago after being diagnosed with stage 1b1 tumor removed by lezis, just waiting results from rival of lymnodes.  I have got pins  and needles in left leg and soreness around vagina,  did you have this feels like I have been nettled feels weired.  Other than than feel great menapause hasn't got me yet x

I had a radical hysterectomy about 2.5 months ago now stage 1b1.  I had some aches and pains in my legs too after lymph nodes removed. I had keyhole and recovered very quickly. My vagina was swollen at 1st and a bit numb on left side which still is now. My doc reckons I will miss menapause and so far I’m fine. I  don’t have to have any further treatment and I feel good and back working. If you have any concerns I’m sure the hospital will be happy to advise you.

Hi reading your response. Did u have clear margins after the lletz removal? I've just been diagnosed 1b1 and they removed a 1cm tumour but not clear margins so have to have radical hysterectony including ovaries,lymph nodes and 2cm of vaginal wall. Have got mri and ct scans next week which fingers crossed is all clear. Wondered how the op went,only time ive been to theatre was for lletz. Nervous but more so about the scans.

As someone who has had 2 bouts of breast cancer in the last 9 years, I just want to assure you that there is nothing to worry about with your scans. You lie on a table and go back and forth through a tunnel type machine for the MRI. There are different sized machines. If you are large and get a small machine, it can be a bit claustrephobic. There is also a lot of clunking as the machine takes pictures of different areas. There is no problem with a larger machine. They can play music for you if you find the noise too much. The CT is a lot less claustrephobic, although it can also be a bit clunky at times,  but they can both play an important part in diagnosis.

Have you got a date for your scans or your hysterectomy yet? I hope that all goes well for you. You are just as well to go in again if you haven't got clear margins. I did not have clear margins after my lumpectomy, although my surgeon assured me that he had noticed this and had taken another slither. I was told that I had mucosal cancer, which is not a very aggressive form, but it grew back in the same breast within a year. Second time around I had a double mastectomy, done by a different surgeon and, I've never looked back.

sorry to hear about your radical hysterectomy. It seems we might have had ours at the sane time. Mine was in the 2ndJan. Did you have everything removed (uterus, Fallopian tubes, ovaries cervix and nodes? 
when you say sharp pains where are these? I would definitely recommend that you let your medical team know if you are getting sharp pains post surgery. I am not in any pain but occasionally feel pressure on the abdomen and usually a couple of paracetamol does the trick.
