hi had a wedge ectomy to remove a haematoma. (my surgeon said gristle.fat.etc but was getting bigger.so it was removed last October.it was my lower left lung.but my scar is directly under my left shoulder blade.quite a long scar.Anyhow since leaving the hospital i have had pain underneath my left breast.it feels numb if i pinch underneath.slso my ribs under there also feels sore to the touch.or if i bend down.i do know i think they cracked two of my ribs to get to it.anyhow the pain down the side and under my left breast has not gone away yet.and to put a normal bra on with bones is just so uncomfortable underneath my left breast at the site and slso if it rides up to my scar.thought this may have gone by now.altho one of the surgeons drs did say that after the operation.people can tend to get pain down the side etc.i have visited my GP and she said it can be nerve and muscle pain and gave me Gabapentin 3x100mg daily.but just one is making me very dizzy and not doing anything for the pain.i have only just got my voice back in March as they damaged one of the nerves to my lymph nodes by my voicebox.but after voice therapy that has now been resolved.can anyone of you lovely people please re assure me that this is normal.when i cough i have to hold under my left breast.cos it feels a muscle is pushing against my ribs.and also a suitable bra that will make me more comfy.thank you so much everyone for reading this.I am 62 years of age and trying hard to get on with my life.
