New to forum. Lung cancer with spread

Hi all

I was admitted to hospital in September with back pain thinking I had bulging discs as did the GP to find out after a MRI scan, CT scan & biopses to discover I had stage 4 lung cancer with spread to my liver & spine. This was such a shock for me & my family. Hardest thing I have had to tell my 2 daughters. I am incurable but at the moment they are managing to control it with tarceva(EGFR treatment). I have my 2nd scan in Feb & hope the news is as positive.

    Sending you my warmest wishes and all the luck in the world, my mum has just been diagnosed with terminal lung cancer, we are totally heartbroken, we are hoping and praying she can have chemotherapy to give her a little longer,but the outcome is still the same,I cannot imagine living the rest of my life without her.my poor mum is being so brave whilst the rest of us are totally falling apart,I am terrified at what the future may hold,The thought of losing her is unbearable.

    We are in the same position with my Dad, he's coping well whilst myself, Mam and sisters are in bits. Dad was diagnosed last week and told treatment won't help at this stage. I feel like we are sitting on a time bomb, totally heartbroken. My heart goes out to everyone on here
