I'm 42 and also have stage 4 bowel cancer with spread to the liver. My doctor also says non operable and incurable but I'm on chemotherapy which keeping things stable at the moment. I was diagnosed in may 2016.

Hi Hayley, I was diagnosed with bowel cancer 2014, have had stoma, bowel resection and reversal of my stoma, was told everything clear and didnt need mop up chemo. Never had a scan until febuary 2015 as they forgot about me lol unfortunately scan results went missing and never found out until july 2015 that I had cancer in my bowel lining stoma scar and back passage no operations only pallative chemo, had 8 sessions went for my scan december got my results 22nd december, they could not see any cancer but because it is difficult to see cancer in bowel lining I am having another 4 sessions of chemo, I am still in shock lol but hoping they cant find any cancer my next scan. I really hope that your chemo isnt giving you too much side effects and that you have a great response to the chemo, Unfortunately we just have to do what we can to get through this.  Sending you best wishes and a massive virtual hug.
