Hi I'm Marty, this seems strange to me because I have not really spoken much about the cancer or what happens now. It started last May when I had pains in my side and needed to find out what it was because I was flying away to work soon. They thought it might be an ulcer so they put a camera down and hey presto they told me I had cancer of the oesophagus ( I think that's how it's spelt). Everything went so quick then numerous different types of scans nearly every week then the chemo quite a heavy session lasting 5 hours and tablets every day. Didn't take to well to the chemo knocked me for six, had 4 sessions of that then 8 weeks of before the surgery. I had a lot of treatment at Clatterbridge hospital, then a 12 hour operation at Sefton hospital both places were fantastic. Have com through the cancer so far they think they have removed it all having to take a third of my stomach away as Well. There is always the thought will it come back.
