I rec ecntly had a bad reaction to cisplatin. I had it with oemetrexted fir 4 cycles 18 months ago but have had to have more as my location no cancer has moved again. Does anyone know any other chemo that is used?

I am sorry to learn about your situation. I am not sure what cancer you have but pemetrexed and cisplatin are often given in combination to treat non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), and another type of cancer of the outer lung called mesothelioma.
Only the medical team treating you can recommend treatment as they are aware of your clinical details.
Many teams treating patients with cancer have a specialist nurse who can give patients information and support. If this is the situation in your case it may help to contact this nurse and ask for advice in relation to your particular circumstances.

Hi, please ask your key support nurse or one of the team, I was so ill with Cisplatin,struggled to eat etc, but fortunately I was put on "sister" chemo drug called Carboplatin, which was so much more tolerable, keep opening doors for help :-) all the very best. Jane
