I found this site by accident 4 1/2 years ago and like you had never visited chat rooms before. But I joined up straight away as I was taken by how many people who were finding it hard to talk to family or friends about their fears and feelings. I have chatted to some amazing and inspirational people during this time and count a lot of people on here as good friends.
It is often said, you have to have had cancer to really know what it feels like or to have had a loved one suffering from it and in a way its so true. I have had prostate cancer myself and have lost ten family members to cancer so I know what its like on both sides of the fence so to speak.

I too saw this on facebook and thought I would have a look. I have stage 4 non small cell lung cancer and until you have some form of cancer you do not know where it will take you. I feel that I am improved in some way mentally and take more notice of the world around me so you could say I was enriched. However, the other side is scary and these sites are a blessing. I am also on Roy Castle site, Macmillan site and an American one called Inspire. Chatting to other people brings comfort and questions can be answered. I presume from your name that you live near Pendle. I did live in Colne but now in Rossendale.
