Hi I lasted 10years cancer free after having lump masonry now it has come back in same breast but its not invasive this time I booked my holiday to go away the 19 Aug the consultant said I will have to have my breast off she said it will be OK to go away buti will ave to decide about having op with or without reconstruction when I get back I am so worried can't sleep I also ave my 81 year old mum that lives with me I am her carer I ave to sought her out as well what do I do

    Hi I don't think I can give you much advice other than do what the doctors say. Non-invasive is better than invasive, obviously, and if it's DCIS apparently it isn't life threatening (so I'm told). But the surgery is scary, there's no denying that. Hopefully social services can help with your mum during this time. Sorry I haven't got a heap of advice, but I saw your post was today, and just wanted to let you know someone was thinking of you.

    Hi..Not only you alone here...me as well got breast cancer. I was OP last 2015. Now waiting to do delayed reconstruction. LD Flap risk blood vessel die but TRAM FLAP more scary and complicate.Doctor told me to decide which one I prefer. It is scary time for me as well...Cheers
