Newbie - Breast Cancer

Hi there, my name is Di and I am new to the site. I was diagosed with Breast Cancer on 9 Feb, 2016 - age 42. I have had lots of tests after my initial diagnosis, so waiting on being told the results of all my biopsys and FNA's then hearing what my treatment plan is going to be. I have found week 2 especially difficult, having further tests and not knowing what they are finding. Is there more cancer elsewhere or am I lucky to have found it early with no cancer cells in these other areas tested. I know once I have all my results I can accept what is what and just get on with treatment. The not knowing is the hard bit so far.......

  • Sorry for the late reply I was wiped out last night. I'm pleased it didn't go so bad seeing your family I think a steel like resolve suddenly kicks in to help you explain everything which is good to help get through. I remember the explaining of things after each appointment was exhausting at first. Hope you are feeling ok today? Xx

Yes starting to feel much better now and the pain is easing each day so can see the light! This time last week I was green from all the painkillers and they were talking about giving me a blood transfusion from loosing so much blood (seriously I felt like sobbing on the floor and I'm not a crying kinda gal!!) So things are on the up! Xx

  • Oh my god Charlotte sounds like you have had quite a time!! Really good to hear you are getting better. Keep healing well and take care xx

  • Thanks Di good to be finally getting there! Sending you lots of positive vibes for your ct and bone scan.Take care too and keep smiling xx
