My brother in law at the age of 50 was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in sept 2015. He had surgery to remove the cancer and recovered well. He was told they had managed to remove all the cancer and no lymph node involvement. After being home for a week he fell ill with signs of infection. He was re- admitted to hospital and had to go through more major surgery as he had developed a leek around the pancreas. Once again he recovered well but then developed septacimia and was in intensive care. Once again he recovered well and went to see his oncologist whom advised a clinical trial as well as chemo. He had to have another c.t scan prior to treatment and to our devastation we were told the cancer had spread to his liver. He started chemo in end of Nov but could not have the trial. He is doing so well, gained a stone and a half in weight and is carrying on with daily living. The oncologist was shocked to see how well he looked yesterday when he went for his third cycle of chemo. We are looking for advice or anyone with similar stories as he just looks so well and can't believe he is so Poorly
