Hi all,
My mum was diagnosed in August 2014 with PPC. After chemo and surgery, she had the all-clear in Feb 2015 but the little pests returned in October 2015 and she is undergoing more chemo (which it is thankfully responding to). I'm 26 and work away from home, but while I was back over Christmas she let me know that the oncologist has said it is incurable and will continue to recur until it no longer responds to treatment.
I'm really worried for her and my dad and I've spent the last week on the verge of tears. As a family, we're not very good at voicing our emotions and I've found it very hard to talk to anyone about it. Mum especially is facing everything with her typical resilient humour (we decorated our Christmas tree this year with her hospital armbands and spare cannulas and she's planning on making a hospital-armband-paperchain for the house) so I don't want to get upset in front of her.
Thanks all xx
T
