Having a tough time

End of May my husband was diagnosed with a multi focal glioma which looked like it has gone from a low grade to a high grade he's been offered a biopsy and debulking followed by radiotherapy and chemotherapy struggling to come to terms with the news feel so helpless he's only 50 and we've been together for 33 years and have two grown up kids

  • I am so sorry and all I can do is send love and light - I pray all will work out and that you and your family find the strength to get through this xx

  • Hi CAZ

Ssorry for your situation but as the one with cancer can I say you are not helpless you are there and thats the most important thing.  I dont know how I would have coped without my Husbands support, patience and hugs.

We are in the hands of the proffesionals but we still need to know that you are there for us.

  • Thank you for words of support it helps to know that there are people who care and know how tough dealing with this illness can be

  • Hi just wanted to check in on you and see how you coping, I do hope you ok, in my thoughts and sending lots of love and light

  • Pleased to hear you had a great evening with your son having mine home is easing the pressure on me and my daughter be glad when my husbands operation is over and done with so we can concentrate on the next hurdle whatever that may be hope all is as well as it can be with you x

  • Thats great and you sound a lot more calmer, I think you doing great and looking forward to one step at a time and dealing with that before moving on is sensible or you will stress too much thinking of it all at once, I too believe you in great hands these Dr's know wht they doing :) hang in there, I know its hard but its amazing where we all get that extra bit of strength to keep us going.  Its also allowed to have down days too what you are going through and indeed those with cancer is not for the feint hearted.

Please keep coming back if you wish to chat or update or just vent.

I had a not so nice start to my second treatment but fortunately I have improved and felt better after a couple of days :) can't wait for my weeks break of all drugs.  Going to try going back to work tomorrow so hope the weather will be kind, chemo hates the cold hahaha think we should all be sent to a hot tropical island whilst on chemo :)

    Take care and keep going

    JB xx
