Hi, I've just joined this site. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in September 2010. Finished my treatment of lumpectomy, then mastectomy, chemo, radiotherapy and Herceptin in 2011. I was healthy until last year when I was diagnosed with secondary brain cancer. Had an operation to remove the tumour which was successfully done. All fine until another tumour squatter was found in February this year. I had Cyberknife treatment last Friday and feeling exhausted at the moment. I'll carry on fighting this evil Cancer but I'm angry that I've done  all the treatment and it still comes back! Trying to enjoy life with my husband, daughters and grandchildren. Hate the fact that once again my girls are dealing with cancer again but we are talkers!! Normal woman!

  • Hi Angela,
First of all welcome to this forum of wonderful, caring people.  To be honest I am amazed you have had to wait so long for a response.  I have been off line for a few weeks, but that's another story.
Great you had cyber knife treatment and you are so positive. Wonderful to read also you have so much to live for - family etc.
I can understand your anger, I really can.  You appear to be enjoying every day and every moment.  Good on you.  I am not a cancer survivor as such but think I can comprehend where you are coming from.
The waiting is so stressful which I can understand fully.  Keeping busy can help. As you say spring is coming and bulbs and spring flowers will be showing.
    When are your results due?
    Thinking of you,
    Sending you a virtual hug

  • Hi Kathy,

Thank you. Apparently the Cyberknife treatment carries on working for 8 weeks. I'll than have another scan to see if the squatter has been zapped. Seeing my oncologist on 24th.

I've had a lovely Easter weekend with my family. It was my birthday yesterday so had a brilliant day with family and friends. Lucky bunny!
