Just feeling really low trying to cope with my diagnosis and prognosis
Oliver and Reilly - hi to you both.
Keeping your mind distracted isn't a bad way to start - I've been on here for eighteen months now and I still feel like a newbie at times.
All you can do is take things one day at a time and allow your mind to adjust to your new reality. Keeping a positive outlook isn't always easy but, if you can manage it, you will be better placed to make important decisions about your treatment options and how you want to live your life.
This is a grea place to ask all those questions you daren't ask anyone else, or just to rant and rave about the situation. Many of us will have walked in your shoes - or at least something very similar!
All the best
Dave

Hi, Cancer is so scary, all what ifs and maybes takes our control away. Feeling low and overwhelmed is very understandable, so much to take in a very steep learning curve, everything in overdrive.
It helps to get things off our chest, this is a good place to do that - even if we are lost for the right words to reply, many, many folks will understand how difficult things can be.
If you are feeling very, very low, not sleeping, ( which is a visious circle) etc. etc. your G.P may be able to help.
A big cusion for crying into or as a punch bag I found helped a little!
Take care, Gardenlady
