Hi, just been told that I have a 10mm mass on my left breast, only been back from my mammogram for a hour and the consult rang me…is that a good or bad sign that he rang me so quickly?………My worry is my mum had breast cancer 3 times and the last time she only had a 10mm mass and it had spread to her lymph nodes and she had to have a mastectomy.

Can the consultant tell roughly from your mammogram if it’s something to worry about. I am in the process of waiting for more tests i.e ultrasound and biopsy I still have week until my appointment.

Hoe do people cope with the waiting it’s exhausting, I am generally a positive, look on the bright side person but this is actually getting to me.
