Thankyou for the reply. I have a flight booked before my cancer diagnosis and waiting radiotherapy appointment but unsure as was told tamoxifen can cause blood clots if I should fly. Have you flown while on this drug ? How was your experience on tamioxfen and letrozole.
Yes, I have flown a number of times while taking both of these drugs with no problem. Yes, Tamoxifen can cause blood clots, but it doesn't do this with everybody. How long is your flight? Wear compression socks for the flight and walk up and down the aisle a few times to keep the circulation flowing. Unfortunately, I did have some side-effects, but the fact that I'm still here 16 years after 2 bouts of cancer is testament to the fact that they work.
I have just been thinking about your predicament and wondered whether you have discussed your concerns with your GP? They can give you a prescription for something to thin your blood when you're travelling if they feel that this might prevent a clot.
