Hello - in denial here?

I was diagnosed with grade 1, stage 2 breast cancer a few weeks ago. I knew it was going to be the case from the biopsy before. I feel like I’m in denial because the prognosis is so good, and that maybe I should be more worried. Im not massively upset, my son is okay and I’m calm with my family. Am I being complacent?

  • Hi Claire09,

A very warm welcome to the forum.

I am sorry to hear about your recent breast cancer diagnosis, but I'm glad to hear that your prognosis is good. It is true, as Bone cancer patient has already said "Everyone copes with a primary cancer diagnosis in their own unique way". It is good to hear that you are coping so well - one thing that we all need to get through this is a positive attitude. Do you know what treatment you'll be having for this?

Please keep in touch. We are always here for you.

    Kind regards,
