Best of luck for your scan on your lungs in May - I am keeping everything crossed for you! I am sorry to hear though that you have compressed nerves in your neck which have been causing severe pain for a while. It's really stressful to have to chase that liver ultrasound too and to still be on the waiting list even though it is an urgent appointment - it might be worth getting in touch with them and ask whether they have any update or if they could provide an estimate of how long you might be in the waiting list for.
