  • Hello Sam and welcome to the forum.

I'm sorry to hear about the diagnosis that has led you to find us. It's good to know that you have support from your daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren. Hopefully, they will be able to continue to be there for you once treatment starts and help you through this process.

We have quite a few members here on the forum who have shared some of their stories with anal cancer.  shared their story on this thread shared their story about the early days in treatment, and  posted about their road to recovery

If it would help to chat things through with one of our team of nurses, you're welcome to give them a call. I know they will be happy to listen and offer any help, support and information they can. They're available Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040 (excluding bank holidays).

I hope that you'll be able to connect with others who have been through treatment for anal cancer soon and that you'll feel less alone and scared before your treatment starts.

Keep in touch and let us know how you get on. We're here for you.

    Best wishes,
