  • Hi Upper and welcome to the Cancer Chat community.

Hopefully some of our members who have taken this medication as part of their breast cancer treatment will stop by soon to share their experiences and advice but if you'd like to speak to one of our cancer nurses about this, they're available on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m. They're very easy to talk to will do all they can to address your questions and concerns.

You can also find out more about Ribociclib on our website.

I'm not sure from your post when you'll be starting this medication but I'll have my fingers crossed you won't experience too many side effects and your treatment is a success.

    Kind regards,

  • Hi Upper,  I am on ribociclib for secondary breast cancer.  I believe they give it for primary now to stop a reoccurrence.  I was on 600mg but had such a horrendous rash my oncologist reduced my dose to 400mg.  I have been on this for a year now.  It does lower your immune system so you have to be careful of colds etc.  I don't know what other side effects I have as  I don't know what symptoms are from what medication.  I do feel a bit nauseous when I start again after the week break but it goes away and I am on cyclizine for nausea.  Best of luck.
