I am new here I went for my first mammogram  due to turning 50 aprox two weeks ago then I got a letter for a recall to a breast care clinic , I went today they showed me my previous  mammogram  which they said it shows something it looked like a white mark they said it was 1.5 cm and then I had a breast examination then a ultrasound . And they did a biopsy I asked do they think it’s anything sinister then .all they said is  they just do not know that’s why having biopsy to find out I have got to wait 3 weeks for results which takes me all through Christmas worrying , I did not find a lump or have any symptoms so it as come as a big shock , I am 50 And have gone through menopause . They were all lovely and I had a breastcare nurse who did say if it’s is cancer they need find out which one and what treatment , I asked her if they think it’s cancer then she just said do not know , driving myself mad overthinking what they were like at the appointment were they so nice because they think it is etc…. And I am doing the big No No googling !  It’s hard to switch of and just wait and see x
