Hi Bellalabella  I am so sorry to read this.  Are you having a lumpectomy on Thursday,  it is good that they have got you in so quickly.  There is a forum for breast cancer on the Macmillan website with lots of information and support on there.  I had a lumpectomy and sentinel node biopsy at the same time.  It was not as painful as I thought.  Sending you big hugs.

I’m really sorry to hear this Bellalabella but it’s good that you’re having surgery so quickly. My lump showed up on a routine mammogram and I had biopsies taken and a scan, my op was done the following week. 

I am having a lumpectomy and a sentinel lode biopsy on Friday,I hope you don't mind me asking, what treatment if any did you need after the op?

They told me I’d need radiotherapy x

Yes they told me that I would need radiotherapy but, after the op and another mammogram, they said it wasn’t needed.
