I am 75, had Her2 cancer 2 years ago and had surgery to remove 2cm tumour and 2 lymph nodes. Scans revealed no further disease. I am not getting along with the side effects of anastrozole and after 7 months I need to stop in order to have some quality of life! Is anyone else suffering with this medication? x

    Hi Boobles sorry to hear about your diagnosis and good news about no further evidence of disease.  I thought anastrozole was for ER, PR + cancer not HER 2 + cancer.  I think quality of life is the most important thing.  I stopped after 5 years and should have been on it for 10 years.

    I had Her2+ which is oestrogen fed hence why I was prescribed Anastrozole to reduce the oestrogen.  I really cannot cope with the side effects and hope I'm not risking getting a reoccurrence.
